The most important and most common book that is used in the contemporary period
is the book of Mafatih ul-Janan by Sheikh Abbas Qomi.
This book is the most widely published book after the Holy Qur’an, so it is necessary
for this precious work to be investigated by researchers due to its wideness and
influence in the society.
For this purpose, in the current research, while emphasizing on the author’s
tendency to use of authentic materials in prayers, some significant points regarding
the validation of the book Mafatih ul-Janan have been pondered and pointed out.
In the end, it became clear that although Sheikh Abbas Qomi tried to remove the
invalid contents of Meftah ul-Janan Boroujerdi and present the valid contents in his
summary and compilation, but according to the examples that will be mentioned in
the present article, it is clear that various supplications of Mafatih ul- Janan can be
traced, which can be considered invalid or weak and distorted for reasons.
Therefore, it is necessary to re-validate and documentrise all the content of Mafatih
in a specific and separate manner.
