Love and respect for Prophet Mohamed (PBUH) and the Ahlul Bayt (AS) is among the significant subjects which have always been a part of the history of Dari Persian literature. Poets and writer, regardless of Shia or Sunny, have always had this issue in mind and each have paid their respect in their own way: whether its praise, veneration, eulogizing or prayer and appealing, explaining the school of thought and the position of the Ahlul Bayt (AS) and elegies in sorrow of their sufferings as well as many other subjects. Fadai Heravi is a prominent poet from Afghanistan who follows the same path. His collection of poetry is filled with praise and respect for the Prophet and his venerated family, so much so that almost 60 percent of his poetry is attributed to praise the visage of the Prophet and the Ahlul Bayt (AS). This study is looking to investigate the manner in which the visage of the Prophet and the Ahlul Bayt (AS) is represented in Fadai’s collection of poetry. This study employs descriptive-analytical methodology and the data has been gathered through direct library sources. Some of the most repeated subjects in this collection includes description and praise of the Fourteen Infallibles (AS), miracles of the Prophet and the Ahlul Bayt (AS), elegies and prayers.
