In religious poetry, the emotions and beliefs of the poet overflows which results in one the most important styles of lyrical literature. Mousavi Garmaroudi is among contemporary religious poets who has composed descriptions of the Fourteen Infallibles (AS) and events from their lives through the style of lyrical literature and arts while being touched by them. This study has employed descriptive-analytical methodology in order to explain the lyrical characteristics of the religious poetry of Ali Mousavi Garmaroudi, looking to answer the question: what are the structural and contextual characteristics of Garmaroudi’s lyrical literature and how do they translate to literature? The findings conclude that the contextual characteristic of his poetry translate into elegies, celebration of birthdays, description of the visage and disposition of Imams, complain and lament, prayer, praise, and veneration. The structural and verbal characteristic could be seen in questions or exclamations towards some intended purpose, Jouibari and heavy rhythms, simile, allegory, cadence of language and words as well as delicate phrases, which are of the most important characteristics of Garmaroudi’s poetry.
