Shia’s literature is part of the powerful Persian literature. This literature type has been built beside Persian poetry, ever since the beginning of the 14th century. Some of this literary heritage as a written form, is remained in Divans and Shia’s poems, and the next pivotal section is oral. Most of the poetry and texts of Shia’s poems have their own rituals which make them eternal. Chavoushnamehs and Chavoushi’s custom, are among the most critical types. Chavoushi is the welcome and accompaniment poem for hajis and the pilgrims of holy places. People’s love of pilgrimage leads to the prosperity of this ritual, and tens of poems and hundreds of poetry in various genres, conceptions, and functions about this ritual have been made till now. The article, alongside studying these types, reviews the structure and content, literature, and anthropological dimensions of Chavoushnameh, and finally, introduces the most highlighted ones. Our research demonstrates that Chavoushkhani has been one of the most common traditions in all regions and areas of Iran that, with some specific characteristics, has generally had a religious function.
